This is where the palace of King Kasyapa once stood, reachable up a winding stone staircase.Today, you can climb the 1270 steps to see the well-preserved ruins of Sigiriya, a UNESCO heritage site known as the eighth wonder of the world.

• Visit Devon and St Clair water falls on the way to train station.


• Take the famous scenic train ride from Nanu Oya to Ella – The ride between Nanu Oya and Ella takes about 2 hours and is as beautiful. You’ll see tea pickers at work in the tea plantations and you’ll feel the urge to wave back to the school kids waiting for the train to pass by to cross the way over the rail tracks.

Ella To Weligama (Nov To April)

• Transfer to Weligama – Time to pack up and get transferred to the beautiful Weligama Bay. Truly extra ordinary beaches with hues of blues and waves that a surfer looks for.


• Spend 3 nights in the surf camp – You will have daily surf lesion and yoga lesion in the evening.


• Apart from the Surfing you will be able to visit Gall Dutch Fort, Whales watching tour and visit coconut tree hills in Mirissa.

Arugambay/ Weligama To Negambo
